Emiel Stöpler

My name is Emiel F.A.J. Stöpler and I'm a guitarist, writer and composer. Around my 18th birthday, I became seriously interested in guitar and I subsequently studied classical guitar and composition at conservatories in Belgium and The Netherlands. My music has been performed in The Netherlands and abroad in places such as France, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Turkey, Hong Kong, Australia and the United States.

The duo "Aragorn" is a very well-conceived and balanced composition. A very beautiful addition to the repertoire. The guitar part is highly playable, as is the more virtuosic and rhythmically demanding violin part. While the guitar accompaniment feels a bit predictable due to the repetitions, it also provides a secure and solid foundation because of this.
